CaRMS for IMGs is a platform designed to help International Medical Graduates in their journey to apply and match to a Canadian medical residency program of their choice. We strive to offer guidance and support throughout the process to help navigate through the CaRMS process, making it simpler for IMGs to pursue their medical career in Canada.

MCCQE 1

The Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination Part I (MCCQE1) is a computer-based exam that assesses the medical knowledge and clinical decision-making skills of the candidates.

The exam consists of MCQs and CDMs, and covers a wide range of topics, including medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, and health.

NAC OSCE

The National Assessment Collaboration Objective Structured Clinical Examination (NAC OSCE) is a standardized exam which consists of a series of stations where candidates are evaluated on their ability perform various clinical tasks and communicate effectively with patients. The exam is conducted twice in a year at specific locations in the country.

BC-CAP

UBC’s Clinical Assessment Program (CAP) provides a transparent and equitable process to assess a candidates’ clinical experience, and to evaluate their potential for success in a Canadian residency program. 

Document Verification

Verifying a medical degree is crucial to ensure that the IMGs are qualified and eligible to apply for CaRMS and eventually eligible to practice in Canada.
